Shut The Box Dice Game FAQ

Players take turns rolling two D6 dice and flipping down numbered tiles (1–9) that add up to the roll. The goal is to "shut the box" by flipping all tiles down. If you can't make a valid move, your turn ends and your remaining tiles are scored — lowest score wins!

The classic version is for 1–2 players, but we also carry 4-player and 6-player editions — perfect for family game nights and parties. Solo play is great for a quick mental challenge too.

Standard Shut the Box uses two D6 dice. Our sets come with matching wooden dice that fit perfectly with the game board. For a premium feel, our rosewood and hardwood editions include beautifully crafted dice included in the set.
