Zombie Dice Board Game Rules | How to Play Step by Step

Objective: Be the first player to collect 13 brains by rolling dice and pushing your luck — without getting blasted by three shotguns in a single turn.

Setup

• Place all 13 dice into the red storage tube and shake to mix.
• Designate a starting player. Play passes clockwise each round.
• Each player tracks their brain count across rounds — use a notepad or score tokens.

Turn Sequence

1. Draw 3 Dice: Without looking, draw 3 dice randomly from the tube and roll them all at once.
2. Resolve Results:
   • Brain: Set aside — you collect this brain at the end of your turn if you survive.
   • Shotgun Blast: Set aside — accumulate 3 shotgun blasts and your turn ends immediately with no brains scored.
   • Runner (Footprints): Set aside temporarily — these dice are re-rolled if you choose to continue.
3. Push Your Luck or Stop: After each roll, decide: stop and bank your brains, or push your luck and roll again. If you continue, add runner dice back plus draw enough new dice from the tube to make 3 total, then roll again.
4. Bust: If you accumulate 3 shotgun blasts at any point during your turn, you score zero brains for that turn.
5. Bank Brains: If you choose to stop before busting, add your collected brains to your running total.

Winning

The first player to reach 13 brains triggers the final round — all other players get one more turn to try to beat that score. The player with the most brains at the end wins and claims the title of Top Zombie!
