Real Estate Tycoon Monopoly Game Rules | How to Play Step by Step

Objective: Accumulate the most wealth by buying properties, collecting rent, and driving all other players into bankruptcy.

Setup

• Place the game board in the center. Each player selects a token and places it on the Go space.
• Distribute starting money to each player according to the rulebook denomination breakdown.
• Shuffle the Chance and Community Chest card decks and place them face-down on their board spaces.
• One player is designated as the Banker to manage property sales and money distribution.

Turn Sequence

1. Roll & Move: The active player rolls both dice and moves their token the corresponding number of spaces clockwise around the board.
2. Land & Act: Depending on the space landed on — buy an unowned property, pay rent to the owner, draw a Chance or Community Chest card, pay taxes, or go to Jail.
3. Buy Property: If landing on an unowned property, the player may purchase it at the listed price and take the deed card. If they decline, the property goes to auction.
4. Collect Rent: If landing on another player's property, pay rent as shown on the deed card — rent increases with houses and hotels built on the property.
5. Build: On your turn, you may buy houses or hotels for any complete color-group set you own to increase rent income.
6. Trade: Players may negotiate property trades, cash deals, and rent immunity agreements with other players at any time.

Winning

The last player remaining after all others have gone bankrupt wins the game and claims the title of Real Estate Tycoon!
