What does DND dice include?
In the world of tabletop role-playing games, especially in the iconic Dungeons & Dragons, the standard D20 system is the backbone of countless adventures. This system relies on a set of 7 different types of dice to perform countless functions throughout the game. As a result, most dice sets on the market are 7-piece sets, providing the minimum required to embark on a DnD journey. The dice included in this 7-piece set are as follows: d4, d6, d8, two d10s (one of which is a percentile dice), d12, and the almighty D20.
However, as players continue to advance in DnD adventures, the demand for more dice is also growing. At present, we not only provide regular 7-piece dice sets, but also a variety of unique DnD dice, as well as important dice types such as D6, D10, D20, including single, three-piece sets, ten-piece sets, etc., to meet your dice needs in different scenarios.
D4 dice
4 sided dice, it has four sides and looks like a regular tetrahedron. Each face is an equilateral triangle, and each face is usually clearly and concisely labeled with a number from 1 to 4. It is the smallest of the 7 DND dice sets. In the game, D4 is often used for some judgments that require a smaller range of values. When a character attempts to cast a small spell with a slightly random effect, D4 may be used to determine the specific value of the spell effect.
D6 dice
The 6 sided dice, the most familiar traditional dice, looks like a standard cube. The six square faces are engraved with numbers 1-6. D6 is often used for basic random judgments, such as the character's ordinary melee attack damage calculation. When a warrior swings a sword to slash at an enemy, rolling a D6 can get the damage value caused by this attack.
D8 dice
The 8 sided dice consists of eight equilateral triangle faces. These faces are symmetrically distributed around a central point, forming a unique three-dimensional shape, and the numbers 1-8 are evenly distributed on these eight faces. It is used when a slightly larger range of values is needed in the game. Some weapons with special properties or higher damage potential use D8 for damage calculations.
D10 dice
The 10 sided dice is a regular decahedron with ten faces in the shape of an isosceles triangle. The ten faces are marked with numbers 0-9, with 0 usually representing 10. It can be used alone or combined with another D10 to form a unique percentage dice (D%).
D% dice
The percentage dice is a variation of the D10, also a regular decahedron with the numbers 00, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 on its faces. It is used at the same time as the D10, with D% representing the tens (00-90) and D10 representing the ones (0-9), and the two are combined to generate numbers between 01-100.
D12 dice
The 12 sided dice consists of twelve regular pentagonal faces and is often used to determine the amount of damage from powerful weapons, or the amount of significant damage suffered by a character, such as a powerful war hammer, where each attack causes a large range of damage, and a D12 is used to calculate it.
D20 dice
The 20 sided dice is composed of twenty equilateral triangles, which are evenly distributed around the center, forming a very symmetrical and beautiful three-dimensional shape. Each face is clearly marked with numbers from 1 to 20. This is also the most commonly used and iconic dice in the DND game. Almost all skill determinations, attack determinations, and immunity determinations use D20, such as determining the order of first attack; judging whether the attack hits the target and counterattacking the enemy's attack; resisting magic effects and traps; and can also be used for strength checks, agility checks, intelligence checks, charm checks, etc. As the most representative dice, the D20 dice is undoubtedly the most core cool dice.
D100 dice
Strictly speaking, D100 is similar to D% in nature, but it is an independent dice, a 100-sided dice, similar to a sphere, which can directly roll a value of 1-100.
